Astronergy and Insoelec Solar Strengthen Their Partnership in Peru with 3.2MW Project

PVTIME – Astronergy has secured increasingly important projects worldwide. In its latest project in Peru, INSOELEC SOLAR, which specializes in solutions and services for the solar sector, used 5,080 pieces of modules from Astronergy to construct a 3.2MW solar plant.

The plant is located in the city of Ica, near Lima, which is known for its grape production. Its construction generated over 70 direct jobs for local communities and was completed and activated in December 2024.

“This project marks a milestone in the energy transition of the agro-industrial sector in Peru, demonstrating how photovoltaic solar energy drives sustainability and strengthens the environmental commitment of companies. At INSOELEC SOLAR, we believe that our alliance with Astronergy enables us to offer high-performance solutions, which is key to accelerating the growth of the solar sector in the country. Our commitment is to lead sustainable businesses in this energy transition, offering efficient, cost-effective solar solutions tailored to the needs of each client, with the conviction that solar energy is a driver of economic and environmental development,” said Alejandro Carhuavilca, CEO of Insoelec Solar.

The modules selected for the project were the ASTRO N5 bifacial 630W, ensuring quality and efficiency, along with all the guarantees and reliability provided by Astronergy.

Annual energy production is expected to reach approximately 1,070 MWh, contributing significantly to Peru’s renewable energy matrix. Additionally, the carbon emissions reduction associated with the project will be approximately 580 tons of CO₂ per year, equivalent to removing hundreds of vehicles from the streets.

“Partnerships such as the one established with INSOELEC are essential for Astronergy and for the advancement of the solar market in Peru. The progress of this sector is beneficial not only to its growth but also to the environment. We remain committed to our goal of fostering a sustainable future through solar energy and ensuring the distribution of our modules and technologies throughout Latin America and beyond.” said Aldo Rosa, Sales Manager of Astronergy.
