PVTIME – On 5 December 2024, Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ), a leading provider of solar PV solutions, announced its results for the third quarter of 2024 and its outlook for the fourth quarter of 2024 and the full year of 2025.
In Q3 2024, the company’s total module shipments reached 8.4GW, up 2% sequentially and 1% year over year. Net revenue was $1.5 billion (approximately RMB 10.721 billion yuan), down 8% sequentially and 18% year on year. And the gross margin was 16.4%, above the guidance of 14% to 16%.
For the fourth quarter of 2024, total revenue is expected to be approximately $1.5 billion to $1.7 billion (approximately RMB 10.785 billion to RMB 12.223 billion), and gross margin is expected to be between 16% and 18%.
Meanwhile, CSI Solar’s total module shipments recognised as revenue are expected to be in the range of 8.0GW to 8.5GW, including approximately 500MW for its own projects. CSI Solar’s total battery energy storage shipments in the fourth quarter of 2024 are expected to be in the range of 2.0 GWh to 2.4 GWh, including approximately 1.2 GWh for its own projects.
For the full year 2025, total module shipments are expected to be in the range of 30GW to 35GW and total CSI Solar battery energy storage shipments are expected to be in the range of 11GWh to 13GWh, including approximately 1GW and 1GWh, respectively, for its own projects.
