PVTIME – the Groundbreaking Ceremony of high-efficiency HJT solar cell project was held in Jiangyin City, jiangsu Province of China, by China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM), a market leader in the construction materials industry, on January 27, 2023.
The project will be initiated by a PV matirial subsidiary of CNBM, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan.
The first phase of the project will focus on the construction of workshops for solar cell production, R&D center and related buildings, with a total construction area of about 80,000 square meters and an investment of 1.8 billion yuan. And the Phase I is expected to be completed and put into operation in August 2023 to add an annual sales revenue of more than 2 billion yuan as well as annual tax payment of more than 100 million yuan.
The main product of the project is high-efficiency HJT solar cell with high tech added value which is a core element in the PV supply chain. And the company is very glad to cooperate with companies in the upstream and downstream material chain, especially those could settle in the city to promote the solar industry in Jiangyin City, said Zhang Baomei, deputy general manager of CNBM.
