PVTIME – Flat Glass Group Co. (Flat Glass)(601865.SH, 06865.HK), a leading Chinese PV glass manufacturer, announced on 14 April that Jinko Solar Co., Ltd.(688223.SH), one of the world’s largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers, will purchase PV glass from Flat Glass for the production of solar modules from 2024 to 2025.
According to the cooperation agreement signed by the two parties, Flat Glass will supply approximately 489.5 million square metres of PV glass, the total sales value of which is estimated at approximately 10.524 billion yuan (including tax) based on the current market price, to Jinko Solar and its subsidiaries for the production of 77GW of solar modules.
This particular contract is expected to have a positive impact on its operating results as it will provide a stable supply of its large and thin photovoltaic glass, Flat Glass said in the announcement. However, it will not affect Flat Glass’ independence and will not constitute a price or performance commitment.
