PVTIME – Rooftop solar system installer Enersol, a subsidiary of German energy storage solutions provider Sonnen, recently announced plans to cease production.
As a leading provider of residential solar systems, Enersol experienced strong growth in the last three years after being acquired by Sonnen in 2019. Since then, the market demand for residential photovoltaic installations in Germany has slowed down, leading to the suspension of Enersol’s operations.
The service and maintenance of the systems installed by Enersol will be continued by Sonnen after 31 October 2024. “Photovoltaic systems that have already been ordered will also be installed by Enersol until the end of October, provided that the customers do not withdraw from their contracts,” the Sonnen spokesperson said.
