PVTIME – With the government prioritizing solar energy for sustainable development, Bulgaria achieved the milestone of 1 GW of new built solar in 2023. Riding the wind, a batch of Hanersun’s HITOUCH 6 series modules was smoothly installed in Stroevo Village, southern Bulgaria, this June, for a solar park financially supported by Allianz Bank Bulgaria. The associated energy storage system, five Hanersun HNESS230-L units of totaling 1.15MWh, is also set to ship from China next month. This turnkey PV+ESS solution will enhance power supply through peak-shaving and energy balancing, further advancing Bulgaria’s energy transition.
The project applies one of Hanersun’s flagship products, HITOUCH 6 series bifacial module, which uses 210mm silicon wafers, with module efficiency up to 21.6% and bifaciality of 80%, significantly enhancing system performance.
With the rapid increase in solar installations across Europe, challenges in grid regulation and stability have arisen. Hanersun has responded with adaptable, customized solar-storage solutions. The HNESS230-L series, as part of C&I solutions, integrates lithium-ion batteries, a power conversion system (PCS), a battery management system (BMS), and an energy management system (EMS) in one, and allows for flexible configuration, all facilitated by a 24/7 monitoring platform to ensure efficient and safe operation. By charging during off-peak hours and discharging during peak hours, it optimizes the project’s financial performance.
As Bulgaria advances its RE energy goals, including a 40% reduction in carbon emissions by 2025 and an additional 1GWh of storage capacity in the coming years, Hanersun is dedicated to providing comprehensive and investment-worthy solar-storage solutions for both European and global markets.
