Hi-MO 6 Providing Nordic Countries With Solutions Combining Performance and Aesthetics

PVTIME – November saw the official launch by LONGi of its Hi-MO 6 module, the first to feature high-efficiency HPBC cell technology and be designed exclusively for the worldwide distributed customer market. The module has since been deployed in projects in Sweden and Finland, where local communities and small and medium-sized businesses often suffer power usage issues due to extremely low temperatures.

The Swedish residential project is located in the capital city of Stockholm and deploys the 54-cell version of the Hi-MO 6 Scientist series. The project has an installed capacity of 15.48KW and can satisfy the power needs of an entire household. The Finnish project is located in Helsinki and is also equipped with 4.3kW of 54-cell Hi-MO 6 Scientist modules.

The Hi-MO 6 Scientist series is a high-end configuration product designed for home power generation. The module fits the minimalistic Nordic philosophy with its unique front-side, busbar-free design and Obsidian Black style. In terms of power generation, the module employs HPBC cell technology, which significantly enhances light absorption and photoelectric conversion capacity, maximising power output and mitigating temperature and light challenges. The innovative technology also increases the module’s power generating capability in low-irradiation environments, with improved performance in terms of temperature coefficient and power degradation.
