PVTIME – On 11 August 2024, Zhejiang Akcome New Energy Technology Co. (Akcome), a leading provider of full lifecycle operation services for high-efficiency solar cells, modules and power plants, announced that its listing has been terminated by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) and the company was delisted on 12 August 2024. This was due to the fact that its closing price of shares had fallen below 1 yuan per share for 20 consecutive trading days.
In January 2024, Akcome announced plans to invest 1 billion yuan (US$140 million) in the production of HJT or perovskite tandem solar cells in China. However, in June 2024, the project was temporarily shut down for a maximum of three months. Three of Akcome’s holding subsidiaries are involved in this measure since 8 June 2024. According to the announcement, revenues will be significantly reduced in 2024 as a result of this three-month suspension. Nevertheless, in the long term, the suspension of production will assist Akcome in avoiding further losses and promoting the healthy development of its production and operations.
