Sunday 6th December 2015, Hareon Solar, through their Jordanian entity “Empire Solar PSC”, signed the Purchase Power Agreement (PPA) and Transmission Connection Agreement (TCA) with Jordan’s National Electrical Power Company (NEPCO) attended by his Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Saif Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, his Excellency Dr. Ghaleb Al Maabreh Secretary General of MEMR and Eng. Abdulfattah Al Daradkeh Director of NEPCO. This PPA and TCA is a result of Hareon’s successful bid for a 61 MWp solar project under the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Round 2 Renewable Projects Plan. It is expected that construction will commence in the latter half of 2016. The total project value is approximately USD 80 million.
The signing on behalf of Empire Solar PSC was undertaken by its Directors, Hareon Vice President for Overseas Project Development Mr. Ray Wilson and Hareon Swiss Holdings Board President Mr. Günther Stonig.
