CHANGCHUN, China, January. 15, 2019 /PVTIME/ — Monocrystalline wafer producing giant LONGi Green Energy Technology announced on January 13 of its signing of a two-year supply deal with Chinese solar cell producer Jiangsu Runyang Yueda Photovoltaic Technology Co (Runergy) worth approximately 10.34 billion yuan (1.5 billion USD).
LONGi will supply Runergy with 3.82 billion units between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2022, and the actual sales quantity of each month shall be subjected to the quantity determined in the supplementary agreement of this contract. According to the 3.06 yuan/piece market average price calculation of P-type monocrystalline silicon wafers with a thickness of 180um announced by PV InfoLink on January 8, 2020, the total contract amount is estimated to be about 10.344 billion yuan (excluding tax), which would have accounted for about 47.05% of the LONGi’s audited operating revenue in 2018.
LONGi believes that the signing of this contract is in line with the company’s future business plans, is conducive to ensuring the stable sales of the company’s monocrystalline silicon wafers while accelerating the increase of its market share in the monocrystalline market, and will have a positive impact on its future business performance.
