LONGi Establishes PV Subsidiary in Ningxia, China

PVTIME – Recently, PV giant LONGi established a new subsidiary in Yinchuan City, Ningxia, China, with a registered capital of 150 million yuan (approximately US$20.91 million).

This new subsidiary is wholly owned by LONGi Leye, a wholly owned subsidiary of LONGi. It will be principally engaged in the production and sale of photovoltaic equipment, components, solar cells and modules, as well as solar power generation technology services and new energy technology research and development.

In July 2024, LONGi established a new subsidiary in Inner Mongolia, China, with a registered capital of 100 million yuan (approximately US$13.83 million), which will be wholly owned by LONGi and will be principally engaged in the production and sale of photovoltaic equipment and components, the production and sale of solar cells, the provision of technology services including solar power generation, carbon emission reduction, carbon conversion, carbon capture, carbon sequestration and related research and development, etc. In addition, the government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region signed a framework agreement with LONGi in May 2024. The two sides plan to work together on a new renewable energy manufacturing base to provide clean energy, in particular the construction of an R&D centre, the largest hydrogen hub in the Asia-Europe region, and a number of related projects.
