PVTIME – According to LONGi’s latest silicon wafer guidance released on August 19, the price of its silicon wafers will increase across the board. Earlier this month, Tongwei Solar also announced that the price raises for its solar cells.
The price for LONGi‘s p-type 158.75/223mm 170μm wafers has increased by 0.2 yuan/piece to 4.99 yuan/piece and the price for its p-type M6 wafers (166.75/223mm and 170μm) has increased by 0.2 yuan/piece to 5.09 yuan/piece. For the P-type M10 wafers (182/247mm and thickness of 170um), the cost will be 6.11 yuan/piece, an increase of 0.24 yuan/piece from June 24.
Tongwei Solar’s diamond wire 157mm polycrystalline cells are priced at 0.73 yuan/W, unchanged from the last price annoncement; the G1 (158.75mm) monocrystalline monofacial/bifacial PERC cells are priced at 1.12 yuan/W, an increase of 3.7%; the M6 (166mm) monofacial/bifacial PERC cells are priced 1.03 yuan/W, an increase of 3%; the M12 (210mm) monocrystalline monofacial/bifacial PERC cells are priced at 1.02 yuan/W, an increase of 2%.
