PVTIME – Recently, Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai (000651.SH) and China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Ltd. (00916.HK) signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement for jointly development in new energy industry.
According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in five aspects in the future. The first is “new energy + energy storage + high energy consumption” projects with a combination of power generation, energy storage, electricity consumption, peak regulation and frequency regulation. The second is to build 2 or 3 zero-carbon demonstration parks in 2022. The third is to build zero-carbon villages to promote livelihood project as well as achieve the goal of “rural revitalization”. The forth is to set up carbon asset management in companies. The fifth is a promotion of industrial alliances between the two parties, Longyuan is welcomed to coordinately develop with Gree Electric in Gree’s production bases in Zhuhai, Chongqing, Hefei, Zhengzhou and other cities.
“At the beginning of its establishment, Gree mainly relied on the assembly and production of household air conditioners. Now, it has developed into a diversified and technology-based global industrial group,” said Dong Mingzhu, chairman and president of Gree. “In the field of New Energy, the R&D in Gree has reached a leading level, especially its key technology of lithium titanate battery high-rate energy storage system. Gree expects further development in clean energy and energy storage with Longyuan Power through win-win cooperation.”
