NEA: China Adds 5.64gw PV Installations In October, Reaching 58.24gw On The Year

PVTIME – On November 22, National Energy Administration (NEA) of China released a document about the power generation data across China from January to October, 2022.

According to the document, the cumulative installed power generation capacity was approximately 2500GW in China, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%, among which, the installed capacity of wind power was 350GW, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%, while that of solar power was about 360GW, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%, by the end of October, 2022. Particularly, the newly added installed capacity of solar power was 58.24GW from January to October, 2022, and that in October was 5.64GW.

What is more, about 460.7 billion yuan was invested by Chinese major power generation enterprises in power supply projects in the reporting peroid. And 157.4 billion yuan of the total funds was invested in solar power generation ones, an increase of 326.7% YoY.
