PVTIME – Changzhou Shichuang Energy Co.,Ltd. (Scenergy, 688429.SH), a high-tech company mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of photovoltaic product processing, photovoltaic equipment and photovoltaic cells, announced on 22 September 2023 that it has reached an agreement with Tongwei (SH.600438), a leading company engaged in the research and development, production and sales of solar core products, to jointly develop and later mass produce stacked-grid modules.
Through this cooperation, the two parties aim to rapidly transform the stacked-grid module technology from laboratory pilot line to technical large-scale mass production, and at the same time cooperate with equipment manufacturer Jingsheng Mechatronics to jointly promote the mass production of the new technology. The construction of Scenergy’s 1GW dual Polo+ stacked-grid TOPCon modules and delta-welded tape mass production line has also been initiated, with mass production scheduled for Q3 2024.
