On May 8, 2020, the State Council of China issued guidelines for joint prevention and control mechanism of COVID-19 that gave the go-ahead for conferences and exhibitions, saying that “with strict prevention measures in place, shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels and restaurants can be fully opened and operated, while necessary conferences and exhibitions can also be held gradually.” Under the premise of complying with the prevention and control requirements for COVID-19 and ensuring the health and safety of attendees at the exhibition and conference site, the Organizing Committee of the SNEC 14th (2020) International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Exhibition & Conference [SNEC PV POWER EXPO] decided to reschedule the event to:
Conference: August 7-9, 2020
Exhibition: August 8-10, 2020
Venue: Shanghai New Int’l Expo Center
We would like to thank the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) for its support for this exhibition by reserving the time slot for October. However, considering the feedback from many exhibitors who still hope that the exhibition continues to be held in Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in 2020, the Organizing Committee thus actively communicate with both sides who have gave full support and coordination, and finally determine the time slot in August.
As we are now seeing an improving situation in China and also declining reported cases globally, various conference and exhibition activities have been re-launched gradually after months of lockdown measures, which is undoubtedlyan exciting news for the whole industry. We will do our best to serve exhibitors and guests, dedicated to contributing to the development of photovoltaic industry. Let’s jointly create an excellent solar energy event in the post-epidemic era!
