On September 10, Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., the largest PV inverter manufacturer from Asia, participated in the Solar Power International 2012(SPI 2012) with SG500LV for the North American market. The official debut of this 500kW high power PV inverter attracted great attention in the solar industry.
SG500LV is a new outdoor PV inverter of 500kW, developed by Sungrow for the North American market for medium and large PV power stations. At a relatively low DC voltage, the product has efficient and stable power generation capability with up to 98% CEC efficiency. The efficient heat dissipating system design implements lower power consumption during cooling than that of products like, and the design of non-derating at high temperature increases the integrated profits of PV power stations. The product adopts outdoors design with NEMA3R protection for the environmental adaptability, which saves client’s time and expense of installation by cutting the machine room off. Meanwhile, SG500LV provides smart grid interface and reactive power operation, as well as the leading function of zero voltage ride-through (ZVRT). This product had successfully obtained the CSA certificate for the North American market.
On site of the exhibition, many visitors flocked to Sungrow’s booth for SG500LV. They made lots of inquiry about the product’s technology, performance and other traits. Knowing that this new product had already obtained the CSA certificate and being convinced by its excellent performance during trial use by customers previously, many visitors spoke highly of SG500LV as “excels the local brands”.
