PVTIME – The Fifth Technical Conference of the HJT Technology Industrialisation Collaborative Innovation Conference was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, on 22 October 2024. The conference focused on the research and development of HJT, perovskite and tandem solar cells and other advanced technologies.
Dr Hu Chaochao, Chief Engineer of Tongwei PV Technology Centre, was invited to attend the conference and give a keynote speech. And he disclosed that the perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell is an important direction for Tongwei’s solar cell technology innovation, and Tongwei has actively laid down the research and development of full-size perovskite tandem solar cells.
With mass production as the fundamental goal of tandem cell research and development, Tongwei chose the technology route compatible with the existing HJT production line, and conducted systematic research and development for mass production cell design, preparation process, efficiency improvement technology, metallisation and module technology, achieving the efficiency of 210 half-cell perovskite and HJT tandem cells exceeding 26.13%, and embarked on the construction of a megawatt-scale test line.
